Vogue and Michelle Obama
Gracing the cover of Vogue magazine, I subscribed to Vogue for two years when I was in high school not once did I see an African American woman grace the cover. Would Vogue have chosen her if Obama had not become our next president? I think we all no the answer. Do not get me wrong I am glad to see a woman of color on the cover, I just wish the publication would have had more women of color on the cover even when I was in high school.

It is funny how now America wants to truly recognize the achievements of Black Americans since we have a new president. Then we have the ignorant New York Post and the monkey comment/cartoon in reference to the stimulus package and the vision and implementation of our new administration.
